We are looking for a substitute/assistant teacher to join our dynamic and passionate teaching team!
General duties would include:
· Deliver and compliment to an educational program teaching both native and non-native English-speaking children between the ages of 2 – 12 years old.
· Make use of a variety of educational techniques e.g. storytelling, educational play and structure, craft, fine and gross motor activities to teach and engage with the children.
· Guide children to develop their artistic, practical and language capabilities.
· Help children improve their social competencies, resolve conflicts and build self-esteem.
· Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times and to practice sound hygiene practices.
· Provide feedback to parents.
· Work as part of an international team and ensure good and open communication with the rest of the staff.
Qualifications
You are our ideal candidate if you are:
· a native speaker of English
· a valid Swiss work permit
· friendly, caring and patient
· are flexible and spontaneous
· experience working with children, including non-native English-speaking children
Who we are
The WAC & Learning Tree School, established in 1997, is a not-for-profit club in Uster designed to provide a location for an international membership to socialize, learn and support one another in an English-speaking environment. We offer fun events and activities, a library full of English books and an excellent English school for children aged 2-12 years old.
